Our Story

1999

MICOR Industries, Inc. was founded.

2003

First direct military contract won by MICOR Industries.

2005

Large undersea machining orders fulfilled.

2009

First government contract won for development of the MK19 simulator.

2013

Expansion of building one by 10,000 feet.

2015

Purchase of building two on main campus from Daikin.

2018

The Thorne Family Trust purchased MICOR Industries, LLC. Leadership began renovating its cultural principles, finances, and values. Reinvigorating its past capabilities to meet the current state of the machining world – new talent, new machines, new relationships all the while maintaining its core.

2020

Major expansion into the aerospace/aviation industry, serving Fortune 500 companies.

2021

Acquisition of Magnus Hitech Industries Inc., expanding Headquarters in Decatur, while growing West Coast location and workforce.
