Partners in Education
MICOR invests in tomorrow’s workforce. Students at Decatur Heritage Christian Academy take facility tours throughout the year to be exposed to our manufacturing processes. We also sponsor several fundraising events throughout the year.
The Decatur area has a rich history in student robotics competitions. During competition season, a MICOR employee will work directly with the students two-four hours a couple of times a week. This is a rewarding experience for our employees and a wonderful asset to the students who take advantage of the knowledge and experience provided by the MICOR employee.
MICOR Workforce Development Award
We award a Decatur Heritage Christian Academy senior who excels in academics, is pursuing a career in manufacturing or machining, or needs help in understanding what they want to do within manufacturing. The winner shadows MICOR’s Dave Ponegalek at the Decatur location and accompanies him on a trip to visit customers.
